Helicopter Doing Cleanup Work on Lowell Fire

The helicopter dipping into Scotts Flat Reservoir this afternoon  is not working a new fire, this is just some cleanup work on the Lowell Fire. There is no danger to any homes, they’re just working small hotspots well within the fire perimeter.

The latest on the Lowell Fire is that the containment date has been pushed back one day to August 11th. 90 personnel remain on the fire and it is 95% contained.
