Help Rotary “Free The Girls” At Mardi Gras

Marid Gras celebrations have always included the trading of beads during the parade, but this year’s Nevada City event will include a trading of something rather unique. The Nevada City Rotary Club will have a float focused on a cause to help women in Africa escape and recover from horrible acts of inhumanity. The project is called, Free The Girls, and Rotarians are asking the public to share their underwear!

Inglis says the cause is serious, but the project does lend itself to a bit of humor.
