Hiding Fugitive Located on Squirrel Creek Road

A Nevada City man tried to hide from law enforcement and was not successful. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says a deputy saw a man walking on Squirrel Creek Road just after midnight, Wednesday. The Sheriff says the deputy found 32 year old James Clark Black had a felony warrant for his arrest. When confronted Clark Black fled into the brush. The Sheriff says after a search deputies left the area and then returned. The Sheriff says this time Clark Black surrendered. When the Deputy searched the man he found a knife.

Clark Black was taken into custody for a felony warrant, possession of the concealed knife and possession of several meth pipes. The Sheriff says the knife concealed in the belt could have been deadly.
