Higgins Fire Station Open House

The Higgins fire station at the corner of Combie and HWY 49 is having their bi-annual open house this Saturday from 9 to 3 with something for the whole family to enjoy and learn. Consolidated fire Captain Kevin Menet invites young children to visit the mobile classroom to learn what to do in case of a fire in the home.

Firefighters will demonstrate the jaws of life to open a car door, they will demonstrate proper use of a fire extinguisher and a helicopter will also be available to view. equipment displays and The Lake of the Pines Fire Wise committee will offer a bar-be-Que.
