Salter says that amounts to about $574,000 when you tally up both payments for 2016 which is discretionary general fund money. The Board of Supervisors decide where to spend it. PG and E’s chief financial officer says the higher payments reflect substantial local investments they are making in their infrastructure, to create one of the safest and most reliable utility systems in the country.
