Highway 174 Construction Delays Now Six Days

Motorists using parts of Highway 174 are now in their second season of re-construction delays. And now Cal Trans Public Information Officer Raquel Borrayo says they’ve extended one-way traffic controls, between You Bet and Greenhorn Access Roads, to Saturdays for the forseeable future. There have been up to 20-minute delays. Borrayo says grading work is currently continuing on the safety improvement project, in preparation for paving of realigned segments and newly widened shoulders…

The project is softening several curves and also adding a southbound left-turn pocket at Greenhorn Access Road. Also, improving the clear recovery zone for errant vehicles to regain control. Completion is anticipated some time in the fall.
