Highway 49 Accident Victim Airlifted to Roseville

A woman suffered serious injury after her car ran off Highway 49, Monday night. CHP Public Information Officer Dina Hernandez says the 47 year old Grass Valley woman was driving her 1999 Dodge when she ran off the road and went over the embankment and hit a tree. The vehicle was so badly mangled she had to be cut out by Fire Fighters.

The woman was flown by Calstar helicopter to Sutter Roseville Hospital in serious condition. Officer Hernandez says the accident is still under investigation. There is no information to lead investigators to believe that alcohol or drugs were involved. A report from Roseville Hospital has the driver listed in fair condition as of this morning.
