Work gets underway tonight on a Highway 49 re-paving project that could cause delays for motorists…
Steve Nelson with Caltrans says that segment is a little over three miles. Nelson says you can expect one way controlled traffic in certain spots…
The good news is, the work will be done almost exclusively at night, from 9pm to 6am during the week, and 10pm to 8 or 9am on weekends. Work should be completed by mid-September. Teichert Construction submitted the low bid for the project at just under four million dollars.
Night work is also being done on Highway 20 from Lower Smartsville Road to Marysville Road. Look for one-way controlled traffic from 7pm to 7am while crews do some re-paving and guard rail replacement. Work there is expected to be done in August.
