Highway 49 Stays Closed Because Of Slides

The mudslide with the biggest traffic impact for Nevada County is near Independence Trail, between Newtown and Pleasant Valley Roads, with Pleasant Valley Road as the detour route. Other notable slides include the North Yuba River Bridge, Oak Valley, and two near Downieville.
