During that same day, there were 422 arrests for DU-I. Those numbers were from 2012 and are state wide. Martinez says many people drink at Super Bowl parties, which is fine, but don’t plan ahead, to either get a ride home or attend with a designated driver. Martinez says officers will be out in force Sunday…

The C-H-P is also working with other law enforcement agencies around the state to discourage people from drinking and driving.
