Hiking Trails Open During Lockdown

There seems to be some confusion as to whether hiking on local trails is allowed. It is, in most cases. City and state parks have shut down, but the many trails in western Nevada County are accessible. Bear Yuba Land Trust Co-Executive Directors Erika Seward and Erin Tarr say their trails are open. Right now, their parking lots are open, but that could change if social distancing becomes a problem. The Nevada Irrigation District trails are also accessible, but facilities and places such as restrooms are closed. In Grass Valley, you can use the Wolf Creek Trail, but parks are closed.
