Hirschman’s Pond poses problems

Hirschman’s Trail near the Rood Center in Nevada City opened in April and has proved so popular, signs are planned to advise users to stay on the trail and  out of the pond.

Nevada City manager Dave Brennan says issues involving the trail are expected to go before the City Council in August.

Brennan says concerns of the Cement Hill Neighborhood Association include some trail users entering the pond along the trail.
