Historical Society Discusses Fashion

The Nevada County Historical Society Speaker Night tomorrow night (Thursday) will focus on historical fashion of the Civil War and Victorian Era.  Elizabeth Lowrie is a former educator with the American Civil War Association and has been in charge of the civil War re-enactment for the Nevada City Constitution Committee. *

Lowrie says corsets and dresses were not just for the women.  Children wore them too.*

Nevada County Historical Society speaker Night begins at 7 p.m. at the Madelyn Helling Library Community Room, the presentation is free and open to the public.
