Historical Society Meets Sunday

They normally meet on Thursday nights, but this month the Nevada County Historical Society has moved their monthly meeting to Sunday. The topic is western writers. Many are in town for a convention next week in Sacramento.

That’s Nevada County’s own western writer Chris Enss, who will be one of the speakers. Her books have focused on women of the West. Sherry Monahan will also speak. She is from Raleigh, North Carolina, and loves wine and food. She discovered that some of the pioneers looking for gold, ended up starting vineyards…

Enss, Monahan, and Bill Markley will be the speakers for the Historical Society. Sunday Night at 7pm at the Madelyn Helling Library. Admission is free, refreshments will be served, and the presentation will last about an hour.
