Hit and Run on Banner Turns into DUI

A female driver was located after fleeing the scene following a collision with a power pole on Banner Lava Cap Monday. According to CHP Officer Justin Barnthouse the driver, Kelly Bazzani 34, lost control of her car as she was heading northbound near Boreham Lane traveling at approximately 25 miles per hour.

Bazzani fled the scene but officers were able to locate her vehicle, as a result of the damage, near Highway 174 and Gold Hill Rd. She was evaluated and taken into custody for driving under the influence and hit and run causing property damage.
