Hit and Run Takes Out Mailboxes on Bitney Springs

A hit and run driver took out a row of mailboxes and newspaper boxes on Bitney Springs Road Monday evening. Witnesses got a look at the car and the suspect but did not get a license plate number before he fled the scene.

CHP officer Justin Barnthouse says that the suspect originally got out of his car after hitting the mailboxes, but when he realized people could see him, ge got back in his vehicle and drove away.
Anyone with knowledge of the driver or vehicle is asked to contact the Highway Patrol.
