Holiday Pet Reminders

If your having a group of people over to your house for the holidays it might be wise to make a rule…don’t feed the pets.  Sammie’s Friends Animal Shelter Director, Cheryl Wicks, says company feeding the dog or cat too much can make them sick.

Wicks also suggests if you have a new pet or a kitten or puppy, let the animal visit for a while them secure them in a quiet part of the house .

Visit the animal shelter on McCourtney road from noon to 5pm. People can also call the animal shelter for information on available animals, training for pets and spay and neuter vouchers.
