Home Invasion Mastermind Sentenced to 6 years

The fifth and final defendant in a brutal home invasion robbery and assault last December was sentenced to six years in State prison. Assistant District Attorney Anna Ferguson says the defendant, Elliot Roberts, pleaded to conspiracy to commit first degree burglary last month and his entire family was in the courtroom for the sentencing Monday.

Roberts was sentenced to the maximum penalty for the crime for which he agreed he committed.

Ferguson says that Roberts troubles don’t end here… he is also facing charges in Placer County.

If convicted of charges in Placer County, the penalties will likely be added to the six years Robert’s will be serving for Nevada County.
