A home invasion and car theft early Sunday morning around midnight occurred at a Cedarsong Road residence where the suspects may have been looking for medical marijuana and other assets. Sheriff Keith Royal say the victim was home alone at the time when he heard someone open the front door.

The suspects had the victim lie down on the floor an immediately hit him several times and tied him up. They took his keys and were looking for cash and marijuana.

The suspects left the residence and the victim was able to free himself an call law enforcement. Later, the vehicle was located at the corner of Birchville Rd and Highway 49 along with the empty containers. The sheriff is urging for anyone with knowledge of the incident to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
