One of the suspects in a home invasion robbery in the big Oak Valley February 27th is back in jail on new charges. 31 year old Michael Cameron was identified as one of four suspects in the robbery where 20 pounds of marijuana and guns were taken and the residents bound with duct tape. Cameron bailed out on the original charges but a bench warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear in court yesterday. Sheriff Keith Royal says his deputies armed with the bench warrant found Cameron near his home on Forest Glade Circle in Grass Valley and made the arrest.
He fought with officers and eventually was subdued and booked on the new charges, the bench warrant and resisting arrest. At the time he was taken into custody he was fund to be in possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, a number of prescription medications that he did not have a prescription for.”
The sheriff says Cameron’s bail was increased to $300,000 and the new charges against him are enhanced because he allegedly committed a felony while out on bail.
Cameron and two co defendants, 35 year old Brian David Estrada, and 26 year old William Ernst are scheduled for a preliminary hearing March 22nd. The Sheriff says deputies are still searching to identify and apprehend a fourth suspect in the home invasion robbery.
