Home Prices Climbing Sales Stagnant In Nevada Co

Home sales continue to be stagnant in Nevada County but prices are surging. The latest numbers from CoreLogic show 190 homes sold in May, an increase of only one from a year ago, but down five from April. Meanwhile, Nevada County’s median home prices are up 16-percent from a year ago, at over 372-thousand dollars, the biggest annual increase in the eight-county region. Miller says the most significant increases have been seen this year, after being flat the last half of 2014…

Miller says the lack of inventory also means a lot more competitive offers for homes, some exceeding the original asking price.
