Homeless Camper Arrested on Alleged Drug Charges

A homeless man was arrested at his campsite for a number of charges. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says the narcotics task force in conjunction with Nevada City Police served a search warrant to Patrick Gary Carter, at his makeshift residence on Coyote Street in Nevada City.

As a result of allegedy possessing drugs, paraphenailia, scales, and $400 dollars cash along with being under the influence Carter was taken into custody and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on a number of charges.
Carter has not been approved by the Nevada City police to camp within city limits.
