Honorary Firefighter Dawson Deschaine Loses Battle with Leukemia

Dawson got to celebrate his day with the firefighters, doing the same things they do on a typical day. But his mother, Breanna Deschaine  had also learned just the day before that Dawson’s Leukemia was back.

Shawna Crestwell is Nevada County Consolidated Fire District Finance Administrative Assistant who arranged for Dawson to be an honorary firefighter. Dawson put up a good fight, but at 8 years old he lost his battle with Leukemia last Saturday.
