Hospice of the Foothills does an incredible job taking care of community members who are nearing end of life. However, the coronavirus pandemic is making an already challenging job even more difficult. Volunteer Coordinator Diane Barlow. and Regitered Nurse and Community Liaison Donna Brown, shared with KNCO that one of the challeneges is keeping personal contact between care-givers adn clients. To help combat isolation for Hospice clients, volunteers are writing letters.
Response has been good with a number of letters already coming in, but there is a need for more writers.
Along with letter writers, Hospice is also in need of PPE equipment for use when visiting and working with patients.
