It’s an important medical test that men should get, and Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Cancer Center is doing it this evening only. Oncology Social Worker Rebecca Parsons says it’s a simple test, for prostate cancer…
The screening is free, but there is one small catch. You have to agree to be part of a clinical trial, but Parsons says all that involves is filling out some forms…
You also need to make an appointment, but you can do that today by calling 274-6635. There is agreement among researchers that these screenings are responsible for greatly reducing the mortality rate from prosate cancer over the last 30 years. The testing is this evening from 5 to 8pm at the Hospital Outpatient Center, Building 3, Lower Level.
