Hospitality House Homeless Shelter has just completed a very successful on-line fundraising campaign where they raised just under $40,000 in 31 days. Development Director at the shelter, Joanna Robinson says they need the money to use as start up funds for a new thrift store.
Robinson says they need to open the Thrift store to make up for federal grant funding that will go away next year.

Hospitality House will experience about $400,000 in cuts. Their annual budget is $847,000 so that’s a cut of just under 50 percent.
Robinson says over the years Hospitality House has been able to help almost 300 homeless people to find permanent housing. They hope to announce the grand opening of the new Bread and Roses Thrift and More store early next year.
