The final step has been taken toward building a crucial project to help Hospitality House deal with a major funding cut. They’ve signed a lease to rennovate a building next door to Sierra Cinemas, on East Main Street in Grass Valley, into a thrift store. It’s hoped that Bread and Roses Thrift and More will open by late May or early June. Outreach Coordinator Joanna Robinson says that’s also around the time they’ll be losing a little over half of their current operating budget, or around 400-thousand dollars…

Robinson says the thrift store will also provide a more visible and effective way to bring the plight of the homeless to the community. That includes a small stage for acoustic performances and speakers on the issue.
