The Continuum of Care encompasses emergency housing for those that are in immediate need of food and shelter- to transitional situations including food assistance programs, mental health, medical services and subsidized housing-  and through permanent housing and personal independence.

The Placer and Nevada County agencies merged in 2009 in order to leverage resources which combined brings 1.2 million dollars to the region.
Joyce Peterman is the co-chair of the Continuum of Care along with the Placer County’s Executive Director of the Sierra Foothills Aids Foundation, Susan Farrington.
