The same day the Stay at Home Order went into effect in the Greater Sacramento Region, on Friday, including Nevada County, the ICU capacity almost hit 15-percent again, at 14-point-8 percent. But County Health and Human Services Director, Ryan Gruver, says it doesn’t matter, the order stays for three weeks. And to be released from it, a region must have its area’s forecasted capacity for the next four weeks reach 15-percent or greater…
But Gruver says recent data trends are not encouraging. He says Nevada County had a total of 642 cases for the entire pandemic and then had 706 cases just for November. And there were 432 cases just for the first week of December…
And there are concerns that Christmas season gatherings will keep case counts high well into January, even with vaccines finally becoming available this month.
