Huni Jumps Bail Again

A Penn Valley woman accused of embezzling thousands of dollars, as president of a local parent club, has again failed to appear in a Nevada County courtroom. This time it was regarding separate charges for failing to appear earlier this year for a proceeding on the embezzlement case. District Attorney Cliff Newell says Michele Huni had posted a 100-thousand dollar bail after she was found and arrested at an Oregon campground about a month ago….

Huni had also been scheduled to appear in court next week, to set a trial date for the embezzlement case. Earlier this year, a plea agreement fell through.
