Hwy 20 Improvement Project Wrapping Up

This should be the third and final season of traffic delays for a major re-alignment and re-paving of an eight-mile segment of Highway 20, between Grass Valley and Marysville. Meanwhile, Chan says work is now ramping up more for remaining improvements of a stretch between Marysville Road and about a mile from the Parks Bar Bridge. It’s similar to construction completed last year near Smartsville…

Chan says a bridge is also constructed near Hammon Grove Park and an undercrossing is included, near Monument Trail, as a way to keep more wildlife off the highway. But he describes one-way traffic controls to be more intermittent this season.
