I-80 Now Open Near Colfax After Truck Crash

Traffic is rolling now, but eastbound Interstate 80 was closed above Colfax this morning, when a tractor-trailer rolled over and blocked all lanes. Highway Patrol Officer Chris Nave with the Gold Run office says responders also had a difficult time getting to it…

The crash happened around 5:30 this morning, and it seems the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel…

No other vehicles were involved, and Nave says injuries to the driver were not serious…

Traffic was backed up for several miles, at least as far as Weimar. One lane was finally opened around 7:30, and all lanes were cleared by 8:30.
