This heat wave is worrying me.   Our nation used to be strong and smart.  We knew how to handle situations.  Now we have to be told how to behave in every situation.

Our forefathers had the foresight and intelligence to create a republic that could withstand the ages.  Sure, they wore itchy uncomfortable wigs, heavy jackets and long sleeve shirts with undershirts with neck ties/scarves in the heat of Philidelphia summers.  But they knew enough to stay hydrated withour being told to by the media.

Wait now maybe they were.  Ye Old Towne Cryer just might have been standing on the corner hollering out “Keep Ye throats damp, Keep Thee from spirits and mead!”  NAaaawwwwww.

As this weather heats up, the talking heads on TV are sure to make the most of it.  Scaring everyone with stories of the dangerous heat.  Just remember things could be so much worse.

We could still be wearing wigs as a fulltime fashion statement . . . . . . .
