I Could Be A Real Help Here

My daily schedule is really very nice.  After working the morning drive show for nearly 18 years, getting up at 3:45 AM, not getting  home till 3 PM, I am now spoiled.  In the 2 years since I did my last regular morning show I’ve become accustomed to sleeping in to 6:30 and staying up till 10 or 11.

The last couple of weeks I filled in for Tom Fitzsimmons on the KNCO morning show.  Back to the early to bed early to rise lifestyle.  Sure I was able to cook dinner for my wife, a development we both enjoy (Swap Shop listeners are well aware how much I love to cook).

My schedule usually means I get home around 7 PM and my wife and I have dinner.  Sometimes it’s something leftover from a huge cooking fest over the weekend.  Sometimes it’s something my wife has prepared.  Sometimes I will fix something fast and easy when I get home for us.

Now this new study about “Fat O’Clock.”  The authors of this research where looking for a time of day component to the everlasting search for why we fail to lose weight.  They discovered that most people tend to ditch their diet between 7 and 10 PM.  The good news is it’s mostly on Sundays.  The second most dangerous time of day for your diet is weekdays 3 to 5 in the afternoon.

I can’t do much about the Sunday evening thing.  But I do have an easy solution to the weekday problem.  Two Words:

SWAP SHOP

Tune in and you’ll be so captivated by the conversation you wouldn’t even notice the late afternoon hunger pangs . . . . . . . .
