It was a 34-year-old Nevada City man who was killed by officers in the state of Nevada after a pursuit that occurred there last week. Zachary Minissale is also considered a person of interest in a shooting death that happened earlier that same day near Nevada City. Two troopers fired a total of 16 shots. Watts says his under-sheriff fired the fatal shot that killed Minissale. Meanwhile, Nevada County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Sean Scales says it will likely take several weeks more of investigation before they can reach a formal conclusion as to whether Minissale shot and killed 30-year-old Jessic Robiere at Minissale’s Bodie Ridge home. The relationship between the two men is not known.
