Idaho Maryland Mine says it’ll raise $500,000

A Sept. 13 deadline for the Idaho Maryland Mine to provide $500,000 to the city of Grass Valley for completing an environmental review of the gold mine’s re-opening isn’t a major matter, the mine president says.

Idaho Maryland Mine officials say most mines here shut down in the 1950’s due to a low fixed gold price and rising labor costs.
