Identities Of Deputies In Shooting Released

The names of the two Nevada County Sheriff’s deputies being investigated regarding the recent shooting incident in Grass Valley have been released. Sina Ghaffarpour and Josephine Strachan shot and killed 35-year-old Dustin Kirk and then were placed on administrative leave with pay. The District Attorney’s Office will determine whether any further action should be taken regarding the deputies.
