Identity Of Woman Killed In Fire Released

The identity of the woman killed during a residential fire in Grass Valley Monday afternoon has been released. Sergeant Mike Sullivan, at the Nevada County Coroner’s Office, says 31-year-old Raquel Larimer, who is from Nevada City, was staying at the home, on Independence Court, at the time. He says the home belonged to her boyfriend. He says an autopsy showed signs of smoke inhalation, but a more in-depth examination is still needed, regarding the cause of death. Larimer was staying in what fire officials now describe as a crawl space, which is considered an illegal, unpermitted living space. That’s where the blaze originated. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
