Bart Riebe, owner of Riebe’s Auto Parts and a strong supporter of youth in agriculture , bid and purchased the grand champion steer at the 2015 Nevada County Fair. Then, in memory of two very specials friends, Lowell Robinson and Orson Hansen who were both long time donors to Interfaith Food Ministry, Riebe gave the beef to IFM as a donation to raise funds for it’s vision of Feeding families, fueling hope. Kate Laferriere is the Development Director at IFM.

During the month of June IFM hosted a limited Friendship Memorial Raffle to honor Riebe’s friendship with Lowell Robinson and Orson Hansen in their commitment to IFM.

Participants had a two in 100 chance to win a side of beef 200 pounds cut and wrapped.
On July 2nd Joanna Robinson, co-founder and development team member of Hospitality House pulled the two lucky names for IFM’s Friendship Memorial Raffle. The winners were Dan and Clara Taylor and Michael McDaniel.
The Raffle raised more than $4,000 to support Interfaith Food Ministry . They feed over 3,500 people a month and the funds raised will help them ensure they can give their clients nutritious balanced meals.
