Illegal Parking Leads to Drug Charges

An illegally parked car led to the arrest of the driver for possession of drug related items. The event took place in the area of Rainbow Road and Clover Valley Road on the back side of Alta Sierra. According to Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal, a deputy familiar with the area spotted the illegally parked vehicle around 2:00 AM Sunday.

The deputy detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver, 24 year old Jacob Jordan, did seem quite right. He appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. A search of Jordan’s vehicle produced containers with honey oil and some methamphetamine.

As a result, Jacob Jordan was taken into custody for drug related charges and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
