An impaired driver rolled her vehicle causing an injury to her passenger north of Nevada City Thursday. According to California Highway Patrolman Justin Barnthouse, the car was heading southbound near Delphine Lane.

After striking the rock the vehicle overturned on the embankment. However the passenger was injured in the process.

The responding officers found the driver and the passenger outside of the overturned vehicle. The driver appeared possible under the influence.

The driver, 28 year old Sommer Buntt was treated at the hospital and then charged with DUI causing bodily injury to another person- a felony, DUI while on probation, and driving on a suspended license.
