Impaired Driver Runs off Bridge on Purdon Road

A suspected drunk driver ran off a bridge and survived. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says a 27 year old Nevada City man lost control of his 1981 Ford pickup on Purdon Road on Friday evening.  Officer Morrison says the driver ran off the road and down a embankment into a ditch.  when the officer spoke with the driver, the officer determined the driver was under the influence.

The driver was taken into custody for driving on a suspended license and driving under the influence.
