The 2017 Nevada County Fair ended on a high note, with strong numbers coming in from the Junior Livestock Auction. Dubbed the “lifeblood of the fair”, the event takes place on Sunday morning of the Fair. And this year, more than half-a-million dollars was raised for local youth and their ag projects. Combined with the Ag Mechanics Auction, over $586,000 was raised this year, including a $20,000 increase in “bumps” highlighted by a KNCO listener helping out.
