Incumbents Re-Elected to High School District Board

Two incumbents were re-elected to the Nevada joint Union High School District Board of Trustees Tuesday. The Area 3 trustee, Katy Schwarz, defeated challenger Jim Drew. Schwarz, like many board members across the state says a balanced budget and saving programs are her priorities. Schwatz says she wants to continue being a good board member.

District 4 incumbent, Jim Adams, was appointed two years ago to fill a vacancy,  was elected outright for the first time Tuesday.
Adams is up for the challenge of solving fiscal issues facing the district.

The Nevada joint Union High School District is facing fiscal challenges due to ongoing cuts, deferred payments from the state, and declining enrollment.
