Injured Suspect in Home Invasion

A bizarre home invasion at a marijuana growing operation has injured one man. Nevada County Sheriff’s Sergeant Robert Jacobs says the incident happened Saturday night on White Oak Lane off Perimeter Road. The Sergeant says one of the victims reported several male suspects entered the home cause the Asian males tending the garden to flee.

When deputies arrived at the home a stolen pickup was found loaded with marijuana. The Sergeant says it appears the suspects fled as the deputies arrived. One suspect, Jonathan Matis of Orangevale, has been taken into custody by Nevada County Deputies on charges issued in Sacramento County.  The victim that was seriously injured can not be located. Deputies contiue to search the area for additional suspects. A second possible suspect has been interviewed but not charged.
