Injury Accident on Highway 20 Likely Speed Related

A solo vehicle accident causing mostly minor injuries on Highway 20 near Lowell Road Sunday evening. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says that the accident occurred on a windy section of Highway 20 just before dropping into the Bear Valley.

A Ford Explorer with three female occupants apparently was traveling too fast westbound as it entered the turns.

One passenger was airlifted to Sutter Roseville for precautionary reasons.

The other two transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital via ambulance for evaluation.
