Intoxication May Have Contributed to Purdon Rd. Accident

A Grass Valley man is suspected of being under the influence when he crashed his car on a rural road, Monday night. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says the 33 year old man was north bound on Purdon Road near North San Juan when he lost control of his 2000 Toyota Tacoma. Officer Morrison says the driver rolled the pickup over in the road.

Officer Morrison says when officers began their investigation, they determine the driver was heavily intoxicated. The man was taken to Sierra Nevada Hospital for treatment of minor injures. The CHP will be contacting the District Attorney about filing charges against the driver.
