For the second time in less than two weeks, more drugs, weapons, and stolen vehicles have been uncovered in rural Iowa Hill in Placer County. Two men have been arrested. And Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Dena Erwin says this site was was also discovered by the same deputy who uncovered the previous illegal activity…
Erwin says more than 250 pounds of processed marijuana was seized, along with 94 plants growing inside two greenhouses. She says there was no medical marijuana recommendation, that they were simply selling for profit. Officers say 30-year-old Richard Austin, of San Luis Obispo, and 28-year-old Shane Brunton, of Encinitas, had been living in a make-shift shack for some time. And the property, which wasn’t theirs, was littered with vehicles and trash. Austin was also charged with possession of an assault weapon. Erwin says the two cases are not linked…
Erwin also says at least a couple of the vehicles are suspected to have been stolen.
