Jewish Community Center Hosts Deli Night

There’s no Jewish Deli in Nevada County, but you can get some good deli food this weekend. The Jewish Community Center is hosting its annual Deli Night tomorrow (Saturday) at the Nevada City Elks Lodge. The food is purchased directly from the suppliers of Cantor’s in Los Angeles, and the Carnegie Deli in New York. Vegetarian lasagna is also available, and beer and wine will be for sale. In addition to the meats, there will also be potato salad, cole slaw, pickles, New York cheesecake, and authentic Jewish rye bread. Sondheim says Deli Night is an event for everyone…

The event is a fundraiser for the Jewish Community Center. It’s from 5 to 8pm at the Nevada City Elks Lodge–518 Highway 49.
