Jobless Rate Close To Pre-Pandemic Level

Nevada County’s November unemployment rate reflects a more pre-pandemic level. It’s down about half-a-point from October and is nearly two points lower than a year ago, at three-point-nine percent. The employment sector with the largest growth in the last month has been Leisure and Hospitality, up 270 jobs, which is a seasonal trend. Retail Trade gained an additional 90 jobs. One of the notable declines was in the construction industry, which saw a seasonal loss of 90 jobs.
